Choosing the headline

When deciding what headline to use for the front page of our newspaper we wanted it to be catchy and effective. We decided on using two different types of headlines to find out which one would be better.

The first type was a single word headline which we had seen in previous newspapers. The word we were going to use would be 'HEARTLESS'. We thought this would be quite effective as it explains sort of what the story is about and how the person in the story was feeling.

The second type of headline we used was a headline that started with the same letter for each word. We came up with 'STOPPED, STOLEN AND STRANDED'. We decided to go with this headline as we thought it was more catchy and explained better about what the story was about.
